So,I just came back from Berlin.
I think it's important to remind myself of all the amazing things
I did fom an arty perspective.

- I went to various galleries, & enjoyed the sculptures.

- Saw some ace graffiti.

- Went to these decent squats

- Saw some wicked architecture.

- Seen some ace artwork. (this is actaullly the carpet)

- And had an awesome time.

Wil definatly be going back in the summer with people I met over there. Hopefully will be a bit warmer too...was facking chilly!

New twattoos.

Designed and drew this out couple weeks ago.
Not only did I get the lyric because Streetlight are sound..
but because everything can basically be argued into a way
in which people can look hipercritical.

Example?
- These student protests...all the voilence, all these
kids which are saying 'fuck the cops'.. if one of their
family got murdered, the first people they'd go to is
the police. It's the same with bands who say 'fuck cops'.
But then again the police shouldn't abuse their power.
But then if they didn't they could potientialy be walked over.
But then that's how the police get away with murder, because
their allowed the power...

You see? It's endless.

And i just wanted bows and music notes to match my feet ones.

I feel stupid for not rememembering what this techniquice is called...
& also for not spelling technique right the first time.

Buttt I can't be fucked to change it.

This is a print method I did by scratcing into a PVC plate, then inking it. I then ut in in the big fancy roller ontop of Stonem paper that I soaked, and stuck colour complimenting tissue paper onto the back so when it rolled, it all stuck together & came out like this I like how it came out.

So this is the scratch & Sniff Print method.

This is some practising of hand stitcing in textiles. It realates to the accesories you get on gloves such as ribbons, bows and lace.

Here's some media research for my 'disguarded glove' project at Bath college foudation Art & Design (Yeeh, I got in somewhere!).

I first one is just made from wrappped paper into loops around more thin bits of paper. I really like how this came to be, it reminds me of mummies being wrapped up.

I second photo shows a photo I made on the wall with pns and elastic bands, and the middle is a cast made form my hand out of masking tape , like the oler cellotape ones.
Although the photos are getting shitter, I guess thatswhat I get for not being the cliche tourist sterotype and alway carrying round a Nikon D60.

This was another photograph I took for my obsession/fetish project. I wanted to show the fear and arousal from PVC/rubber. I read about this girl on a 'wiki' site being afraid of elastic bands so I thought, hey, that's the opposite of people with a pvc fetish.

I used the glove because it was to be not a 'sexy, look at the model in pvc clothing' shot, but a small descrete jab at it. The glove being in focus in the foreground takes the eye off the naked body. I also played about with the lighting, I thought instead of coming in from one straight angle, have some walls over exposed whilst some in the shadows, although the light is real, not edited into it.

The mask covers the identity, as most people with fears and obsessions normaly want to hide it as they feel 'different' and 'alone'. This is not the case however because there is always someone in the world who thinks, feels, or has the same views as you. You've just got to find them.

It was just another one for the display, but I do like it.

This was a practice piece on a helper person friend guy. I wrapped his torso in cling film and then with cellotape. Cut him out and taped it back up. I need to wrap it around more to make it stronger, but if I kept it n too much longer, he'd die from breath loss and crushed lungs.

I created this with the influence of Marcus Harvey's Porn paintings in my head. Harvey did his pieces beucase of an old porn magazine he found, and painted from their stance and poses.

Mine's sort of like that.

This was about an ex boyfriend. Yea, it's odd putting personal experiances into my work, as ususally I do my pieces to benefit everyone looking at them. The colours play a very important role in this piece.I started with the reds, oranges and yellows at the top, and towards the bottom at blues, blacks and browns.

The bright, appealing colours at the top (or Start) of the page represent the start of a new relationship, where it's new, exciting, everything you ould of dreamt of. The passon. The 'honeymoon' period. And as it carries on (down the page) it begins to get into the deper colours. This represents the length. The darker side to it. Once you've been together a while you begin to argue. Shout. Cry. Fight. Lie.
And it's the deceitful relationship that you never wanted. The colours make it feel cold, lonely. Not fun.

The outline is my representation of the guy. Unfortnatly towards the end of the relationship. The slouched position, which gives the sense of 'I cannot be bothered/deal with this anymore.'

The odd thing I found with this piece was while I was creating the background. I was thinking about the relationship. It got me so wound up and angry (although in Harvey's paintings it looks like its scratched anyway), it gave me reason to want to scratch into the paper, and mixing up all the colours.

So I guess when artist's used to say 'I put emotion into this work' I used to think, well, thats pretty queer.

I guess I get where their coming from.

I've just realised that if people see my first page as it is now, most of it may be 'shit' to people..with pacman lemons, vegeburger faces...I'm NOT A FOOD ARTIST!!
So here's another quick concept I came out with whilst doing my Obsessions project.

Still inspired by Mark Jenkins, I wrapped a wine bottle in cling film, then covered in newspaper. I then stuck a thin, but still strong enough to not break, layer of cellotape around a few times, then cut the 'cast' out of the bottle. I finaly taped the cut back up.

I like how its can out, because I wanted to keep t so you could still see the newpaper articles. I didn't use it in my final piece, but it looks good.

That's what i'm going to call this. From inspiration of my Phobia/Fetish photos, I was feeling pretty shitty after surgery having being cut over and my appendix took out.

It shows the big, ugly scar thats being ripped skin and torn up body, with the opposite of a delicate, pretty ribbon. The body is showing the natural skin, but not making it sexual as I purposly covered up the bits that weren't needed for this photo to look sexualy revealing. If i had time, I'd of edited out the reading bands.

By doing this, it cheered me up, and I didn't feel that ugly after all.

This is the end result of my Obsessions project, I'm mid way through the final exam, and this is the progress so far. The inspiration is taken from sculpture guy Mark Jenkins(check him out).

My piece represents the feeling and emotion or phobias and fetishs from birth, and how it starts from a young aes,and grows with the person as they experiment and grow up. The piece will be hanging, so people will have to move a full 360 degrees round it. On one side (of the board/MDF/card/acrylic ...haven't decided yet) there is a cellotaped arm cast holding a cellotape cast baby.

The baby will be clinging into the mothers arms, with a pose which is distressed. This is to show the phobia of Acrophobia, the irrational fear of heights.

On the other side of the board the mothers arm will be clinging to grab the baby, who is posed to look as if its trying to wriggle free of the end of her body. This is displayed the fetish arousal of Autassassinophilia, which is being in life-threatening situations. In this case, dangling from mid air.

If you guys could be bothered to read that, I hope you get it. I'll post more photos after tomorrows finished exam. Wish me luck!

This is Mary. The reknowned four legged, three armed, three titted monster of my form. I made this for a final piece for my Surfaces project, but she's not quiet finished here.
For this I took inspiration from Sarah Lucas and sock bunnies. It was to represent how people hide behind commericalised manufactured items when really were all the same.
We all have two arms, two head, two eyes a nose and a mouth.

She took a while to make, with the help of:
*Tights, pillow stuffing and hand sewing printed paper for the arms and legs
*Pillows, lue guns and sewing for the main body
*Sewing machining the face, whilst hand sewing on the features

At this point in he photo she needed her hair and shoes, but it gives a rugh ideao f the height an size. It's based of an average females height, so about 5'9?

I don't want to take her home though. Fuck that in the corner of my room.

Phobia/Fetish.

For my Obesseion project, I focused around phobias, as it has similar effects as obssesion. I was then really intrested on how a phobia for someone, can be an arousing fetish for another.

How one person can be abnormly scared of something, and another can wank one out to the very same thing.

This was like a 3 weeks project me and the 5 other guys had to create for a local primary school's musical shindig. We made this beast from pine, MDF, greyboard, foam and fabric bits and pieces. It was eventually about over 2 metres long maybe? And had full working wings.

The lame bit was having to carry it for three miles to the other school, through town. We had our photo in the local newspaper, hence the reason I'm sat in it in the photo... I'm the smallest.

Pretty impressed with the outcome though, and the kids faces were immense when they saw it.

My apple carving was part of my Money project prep. I took the motto:

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

And changed it to:

An apple a day keeps the general practitioner out of a job.

I basically knocked what the first motto war trying to say on the head, but prolonged it. The apple is all mouldy and brown now though. So NOT a permanent piece.

Experimenting with various media, I used red food dye and condoms to create this piece. Its mounted on greyboard which is painted with white acryllic. I really like this piece, however the college got pretty shitty with me putting it up, saying 'youger kids will be looking at it'.

So what?

If they don't have a creative eye, fuck em.

I'd like to redo this piece sometime, making it look more professional, maybe using frames or mount it on MDF or something.

So, This is my First Blog. And my first uploaded piece. Problem is, with my work, you got to step back and think. By doing this, ot gives me time to explain, and gives a brief look into how I think, if anyone's interested.

This was my final piece for my Money project. I used measured out the required MDF I needed to create the shelves and the board, and drilled holes into the shelves. I then manually screwed it all up. I painted it all with white emulsion before arranging the features.

The reason behind this piece was to show how much we, as a more economically developed country, waste money. I wanted try and compared this somehow with less economically developed countries, and after bloody weeks of mind mapping I came up with the idea of using an everyday object (apple) which is seen in every country so that it can be related.

The shelves go up and down, showing various stages of the apple 'manufacturing' scheme. I got the inspiration from the 'monkey to man' evolution process.

The shevles go up (and back down)as follows:

(From left to right)

An apple seed - shows a natural object

An apple - with nothing added, nothing taken. Just one fresh apple

An apple with syringe - showing the genetically modified side of process

Packaging - This is showing the uncessarsary packaging that is expensive and wasteful

Overly packaged apple - This is taking the mick out of the packaging by spending too much and treating it like something it isn't

Artifical apple products - inclufing sweets and drinks, added e numbers and sugars

Organic apple - People then complain that they want fresh, healthy food. The companies then make it organi and charge more for it.

An apple - just a normal apple which comsumers wanted in the first place. Did not need to go through the whole process in the first place

This is showing how 'dumbminded' as a MEDC we are. It questions that people in other countries where the fruit was produced in the first place who have less money are smartr than us, because they eat fresh, raw fruit and vegetables, and do not waste money on pointless middle men.

So yeah, get me?
